Sister Mary Bertoli is a member of Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. She lives and has her studio in Marylhurst, Oregon and is nationally recognized for her “Spirit of Mississippi” series of original tissue paper artworks, greeting cards and prints available on this site.

Sister Mary was invited to minister in Mississippi in September, 1991. She joined other religious Sisters who had been in the Delta area for about 10 years, opening health clinics, working in education centers and responding to the needs in small towns all over northern Mississippi. Her experiences there significantly impacted her life and artwork.

We have her prints available from a large collection of her originals, as well as the full line of her greeting cards. We are also very pleased to announce her newest offering, the book, “Catching the Spirit of Mississippi’s Ms. Rosie” which features wonderful stories illustrated by Sister Mary’s own artwork.

Now that you’ve learned a little bit about Sister Mary, we invite you to explore her wonderful cards, prints and a book of her artwork.
